Day 01: Arrival At Kathmandu (1300m)
We will heartily welcome you to the capital city of Kathmandu. Our representative will receive you and transport you to your hotel located at the heart of the city, Thamel. After refreshment, we shall meet with you in our office and discuss the tour detail. Your tour guide will meet you and brief you about the trip, who also, will procure a restricted area permit on your behalf. For the rest of the day, you can choose to roam around and explore the city. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m)
On this day, you will embark on a beautiful ride alongside the massive Trishuli River towards a popular tourist destination, Pokhara, almost 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu. Post breakfast, you will check your ride and embark on the journey. The ride takes you through the Prithvi Highway alongside the lush forests and the beautiful Trishuli River en route to Pokhara. It may take almost 6 hours to reach your destination. In the evening, you can enjoy the vibrant and beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara.
Day 03: Ride from Pokhara to Kalopani (2530m)
After early breakfast in the hotel, you will resume the tour and ride through the scenic Baglung Highway towards Kalopani. The journey of 6 hours and almost 121 kilometers takes you through Nayapul, Kusma, Beni Bazaar, and Tatopani en route to Kalopani. The path up to Beni Bazaar at the confluence of Myagdi and Kali Gandaki River is smooth, yet, you may encounter an offbeat trail with many bumps. The ride will continue alongside the massive Kali Gandaki River that will take you towards Tatopani village that remains popular for its natural hot spring, enjoyed by both tourists and locals. You can choose to take a dip before resuming your journey towards Kalopani village. The day will commence with a relishing, delicious Thakali cuisine in a tea-house located just beside the Kali Gandaki River.
Day 04: Ride from Kalopani to Muktinath and Back to Kagbeni (2810m)
You will begin riding towards the north and exit Myagdi district to arrive in Mustang. Along the way, you will go through the Kali Gandaki gorge, the deepest gorge in the world that separates Annapurna and Dhaulagiri region. Continuing along the trail, you will drive past Marpha towards Jomsom, headquarter of Mustang District. After a brief rest, you will continue driving through the scenic valley of Kali Gandaki rise towards Muktinath village, home to the revered Hindu site of Muktinath Temple. You will get to witness the pilgrims performing a circumambulation of the temple and taking shower under the icy-cold water from 108 stone taps inside the temple. Post lunch, you will begin riding downhill and reach Kagbeni village.
Day 05: Ride from Kagbeni to Ghami (3520m)
After breakfast in Kagbeni, you will begin your ride towards the north. The road officials will be here to check your restricted-area permit before allowing you to go. Here on, you will continue riding through the rugged path overlooking the beautiful canyons of the Kali Gandaki valley. You will also be enthralled by the gorgeous view of Mt. Dhaulagiri throughout the trail. You will arrive at Chele after crossing the desert-like path and few Buddhist Chortens. From Chele to the next village of Syangmochen, you will encounter the sky-caves reaching almost 100m on the high canyons. These caves date back to 3000 years and are believed to be built as war-shelter. Continuing past Syangmoche, you will head towards Ghami village overlooking the majestic sights of Annapurna, Tilicho Peak, Nilgiri, and Yakawakang peaks.
Day 06: Ride from Ghami to Lo Manthang (3840m).
The tour materializes to its zenith as you leave Ghami village and make your way towards Lo Manthang. After leaving Ghami, you will ride alongside the large Mani walls drawn with Buddhist graffiti. The trail rises and enters the former Lo Kingdom that spans from Mustang to Manang. You then ride past the Tsarang village overlooking the scenic Charang Monastery (Tsarang Choedhe Shedrup Dhargyeling Monastery). While on the way, you can also make a brief stop and visit the local White Palace and Luri Gompa en route to Lo Manthang. After a brief ride, you will arrive at the gates of the walled city of Lo Manthang, the former capital of Lo Kingdom. It is still home to the last king of Mustang King, Jigme Dorje Palbar Bista. If time is on your side, you can explore the ancient city and visit a few of its popular monasteries like Jampa Gompa, Thubchen Gompa, and Chodey Gompa.
Day 07: Ride from Lo Manthang to Kora La (Tibetan Border) and Chooser Cave
Post breakfast, you will embark on a ride towards the north, to Kora La Pass (4660m). Leaving Lo Manthang, you will head towards Nepal Tibet Border at Kora La, and from here, glimpses of the Tibetan plateau will be visible. The ride continues downwards alongside the scenic herd of Yaks en route to Chooser valley, home to the Chooser cave. The cave, popular for its 100 rooms and chambers, also endures ancient Buddhist relics. From here on, you will begin your ride towards Lo Manthang. En route, you can also make a brief stop and visit the Namgyal Monastery. Overnight stay will be in Lo Manthang.
Day 08: Ride Back to Gelling (3570m)
Leaving Lo Manthang, you will ride south, past Lola (3950m) towards the Tholung valley. The trail leads to Charang Monastery passing Charang Chu, and finally to Ghemi via Choya La (3870m). Here, you will encounter several locals engaged in the fields in Ghemi village. After a brief stay, you will continue your ride, crossing Nyi La (4020m) and arrive at Tama Gaon. A short ride will then take you downhill towards the Gelling village. Overnight stay in Gelling.
Day 09: Ride Back to Kagbeni (6 Hours / 2810m)
After leaving Gelling, you will begin riding towards Syangmochen Village. The trail ascends towards Yamdo La (4010m), offering a beautiful view of the Annapurna and Nilgiri peaks. You will then cross Bena (3860m) and Bhena La (3830m), heading towards Samar. You will encounter a difficult cross at Chele La Pass (3630m) from where the trail drops towards the Kali Gandaki River. After a momentary rest, you will continue riding through the Chhuksang village and Tangbe and arrive in Kagbeni. Overnight stay in Kagbeni.
Day 10: Ride Back to Tatopani (6 Hours / 2530m)
Leaving Kagbeni, you will ride through the beds of the Kali Gandaki River towards Jomsom. You can stop by and pick some local souvenirs in the village before heading back. You can consider buying Marpha –a local apple brandy in any shop around the village. You will then ride alongside Kali Gandaki River and cross Marpha and Kalopani village via the Kali Gandaki gorge and arrive at Tatopani. You may consider taking a dip at the natural hot spring believed to provide relief to your aching body. You will spend the in a local lodge beside the Kali Gandaki river.
Day 11: Ride Back to Pokhara and Sightseeing (7 Hours / 820m)
After leaving Tatopani, you will ride past the bumpy roads towards Beni Bazaar. You can relax here as you have traveled past the hardest part of the trail. En route, bid farewell to the beautiful view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, and continue through the smooth road past Kusma and Nayapul to arrive in Pokhara. Enjoy the completion of the tour by dining in the finest restaurants located beside the beautiful Phewa Lake. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 12: Ride Back to Kathmandu (6-7 Hours / 1300m)
Wake up to the beautiful sight of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Machhapuchhre visible above the beautiful Phewa Lake. You will have your breakfast in Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu. While on the way back, you will ride through the Prithvi Highway alongside the massive Trishuli River towards Kathmandu. The entire ride may last almost 6 hours. After reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred back to your hotel followed by a lavish farewell dinner in one of the finest diners in the city.
Day 13: Departure
This is the last day in Kathmandu. Before heading to the airport, you can consider visiting Thamel and shop for souvenirs. We’ll drop you off at the airport as of your flight's schedule.
