There is a vast difference between trekking in Nepal in the 60s and trekking today. Almost all of the trekking routes nowadays are populated by locals and logistics and meals are available. Because of this, tourists today do not have to carry their own tents, fuels, mattress and meals as before. In addition, placing signboards everywhere on trails has made it easier for tourists to find their way.

Lodge to lodge trekking or tea-house trekking is found to be more preferred than camping trekking in recent years. As noted above, the main trekking routes are already well organized. Tourists can only travel by packing their daily belongings while traveling. Local lodges and tea-houses provide food and lodging with some extra dollars.

Mostly, tourists trekking in the high mountain ranges of Nepal choose Spring or Autumn. During these 2 seasons, you find better mountain views with good visibility while the weather is clear. Also, because the temperature is moderate, tourists feel more comfortable.

Even in winter, the weather is usually clear. However, at high altitudes, sometimes there is a possibility of heavy snowfall. Excessive cold and heavy snowfall fears will ease tourist pressure this season.

Monsoon season is mostly cloudy and heavy rains make it difficult to trek. In addition, floodwaters and landslides are also at risk. Often, this season is not considered good for trekking since the clouds cover the mountains. However, the monsoon season is well considered for trekking in the Mustang's rain-shadow area.
