This thrilling journey combines the serene beauty of the Gokyo Valley with the legendary Everest Base Camp trail, offering a perfect blend of natural wonders, cultural richness, and high-altitude challenges.

Your trip begins with an exploration of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, immersing you in the historical and spiritual depth of Nepal’s capital before heading into the Himalayas. From Kathmandu, a scenic mountain flight to Lukla delivers stunning aerial views of the rugged terrain and snow-capped peaks that await you.

Unlike the traditional route, this trek veers into the quieter Gokyo Valley, where the peaceful ambiance, charming Sherpa villages, and pristine turquoise lakes provide a soul-stirring experience. A highlight of the trek is the ascent of Gokyo Ri (5,330m), widely regarded as the finest panoramic viewpoint in the Everest region. From its summit, you’ll witness an awe-inspiring panorama of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and the vast Ngozumpa Glacier.

The adventure intensifies with a dramatic crossing of the Cho-La Pass (5,367m), a high mountain pass that links Gokyo with the classic Everest Base Camp trail. From there, you continue through the Khumbu Valley, passing iconic landmarks like Lobuche and Gorakshep, before finally reaching the Everest Base Camp (5,364m) – the foot of the world’s highest mountain and a dream destination for trekkers and mountaineers alike.

This route not only allows you to experience the best of both Gokyo and EBC but also provides more solitude, rich Himalayan culture, and an unforgettable variety of landscapes – from tranquil lakes and glacial valleys to rugged high passes and bustling mountain settlements.

What our customer says about this package.

Gokyo and Everest Base Camp 18 days

First we were quite suspicous, because Amazing Nepal had only good reviews. But everything was great: Santosh answered many questions we had very quickly beforehand. The organisation was superb. We were met by our guide Tej at the airport. He then helped us organize gear for the trek. Tej is the best guide I have had so far: Experienced, helpful, did everything for our small group and very nice. Without him and our two amazing porters we would have never made it over the pass. Due to the small group size the schedule was adjusted flexible to our group. I can really highly recommend Amazing Nepal and especially Tej as a guide.
The only thing I would recommend as well is to bring your own sleeping bag from home.

Everest Base camp and Chola pass trek !!

Booked the Everest base camp and Chola pass trek with Amazing Napal Trek in November. I wanted to organize my trek through a Kathmandu based company and after talking to my friend who already have been to Nepal recommended this company. I was pleasantly surprised at the prompt and detailed response to all my emails.  All my queries were answered and I felt at no time that I was not in control. On my arrival in Kathmandu I was met by Nirmal, a young man, one of the co-founder of the company. He made me feel like I was the most important person that day. I was taken to my hotel and then explained all about the days ahead.  During the trek Amazing Napal team had provided me with an excellent Guide and porter. My guide was a young man named Raju, what a respectful young man. He looked after me from start to finish. Without his aid I do not think I would have managed the Chola pass. All credit goes to Amazing Nepal.

    Thank you team Amazing Nepal!!

    gokyoRi,Chola Pass and EBC trail

From the get go, we received great advice from Santosh. Great city tour provided in the beginning.
During the trip Tej our guide was very informative and prepared us for the unknown and accommodated to our fitness levels. We were also able to discuss with Tej on planning the ending of the trek as we needed to end up in lukla a day earlier to catch the flight, as lukla weather may not worked to our favour. The support made the team dynamic worked Our porters were amazing. Nepal has wondrous and majestic views plus amazing people. Thank you!

Wonderful trek company with an excellent guide

Amazing nepal is a company found after a long search on the internet. Their trek price are very reasonable. Santosh was very patient and explained all queries in a detailed manner. Santosh was also accomodating during our arrival n again was very patient with our pre trek brief. We had Tej as our guide. Not only was he patient as we were slow in pace and often get tired in the earlier parts of the trek, he will always stop and let us know if there is an amazing sight for a photo opportunity. He will also give an understandong n explanation of certain sights and mountains without us needing to ask. Tej also makes sure of our well being. Giving heads up whenever a terrain is a bit dangerous, making sure we are healthy with no signs of altitude sickness and always making sure we drink our fluids. I would say, he gives us a sense of relief with how he makes sure of our health and movements. The porters with us, Ehka and Tilaq, were not only strong but they too make sure we are alright n always stays with the last man behind to make sure. Tej helps take excellent photos. I'm glad that although Amazing Nepal Trek is a small local company but the service and quality rendered were of international standard. Once again i'd like to thank Santosh, Tej, Ehka and Tilaq for making this experience a wonderful and memorable one. I'd definitely recommend this company to friends who are interested in going for a hiking trip to nepal.

    Experience of a lifetime

Our entire trip was wonderful! For context, we did EBC and Gokyo Ri. From the beginning of our journey, Santosh was very kind and always ready to answer any questions we had. He was also quick to respond to any texts & requests of ours. During the trek itself, we had a great guide named Rajin, who was very friendly and funny. He always motivated us and kept us entertained each day. He was also always ready to help us take photos (the views were gorgeous). The guesthouses were comfortable and clean. Our porters, Arjun and Parbin, were also very kind and helpful. Everything about our trek felt well-organised and we felt taken care of. Overall, we enjoyed the entire experience not just because the trek was beautiful, but because the people at Amazing Nepal Trek ensured we were looked after.
