Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a company representative, who will drop you off at our hotel. After checking in, take a rest or visit Amazing Nepal's office. You may also stroll in the streets of Thamel, a tourist hub in Kathmandu for some souvenir shopping. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Amazing Nepal Trek & Expedition. For dinner, you will be served excellent Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to the country's authentic food culture. If your flight arrives late, both the meeting and dinner can be scheduled for the following day. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing Kathmandu Valley and Preparation for Trekking (1,300 m/4,264ft)
After breakfast, you will set out for sightseeing of the culturally and architecturally rich heritage sites of the Valley. Places such as the Pashupatinath, the world famous temple precinct of the Hindus, the Boudhnath and Swaymbhunath, the world famous Buddhist stupa precinct, and Kathmandu Durbar Square will open up completely a new cultural world of Nepali art and architecture to you. You will also be taken to the Kumari Ghar, where resides the Virgin Goddess. We will also discuss the trip, and you will be introduced to your fellow trekkers and our crews.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Pokhara by tourist bus (910 m/2,986 ft) 6-7 hrs, 200km
After breakfast, around 6:30 am transfer to the Tourist bus station and drive to Pokhara by tourist bus. This scenic drive offers fascinating glimpses of rural Nepal as you pass through Middle Hill scenery along with the famous rafting Trishuli River originated from Tibet northeast of Kathmandu. Arrive Pokhara midafternoon.
Day 04: Pokhara– Nayapul –Ulleri (1,950m/6,395ft), 1½ hrs drive (45 km), 5-6 hrs trek
After early morning breakfast, drive along the zigzag route to Nayapul where we commence our trek to Birethanti, a large and prosperous riverside village at the confluence of the Modi and Bhurungdi Khola (streams). We hike up to Sudame along the off-road and then climb gradually up the side of the valley, Tikhedhunga. Cross suspension metal bridge and steep ascent on stone staircases to the village of Ulleri – and an amazing landscape of valley floor where we came during the day with marvelous views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.
Day 05: Ulleri - Ghorepani (2,850m/9,350ft), 5-6 hrs
After breakfast, our pleasant trekking begins through rhododendron and oak forests. The scenery will give you the energy to continue up the steps as you immerse yourself in the walk. After a few hours and with several breaks we reach Ghorepani. Upper Ghorepani (Deurali) where we stay on this trip, offers fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Himalayas.
Day 06: Walk up Poon Hill (3,210m/10,528ft). Ghorepani – Tadapani (2,520m/8268ft), 7-8hrs
Make a pre-dawn start for the 45-minute walk up Poon hill (3,210m/10,530ft); through rhododendron forest. From the grassy top of the hill, there is an unobstructed panoramic view of the high Himalayas stretching from far western Dolpo, and Dhaulagiri (8,172m/26,812ft), the Annapurna Range in the north, including Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail) and on to Manaslu (8,163m/26,783ft) in the northeast. To the south, the mist slowly rises from the flatlands towards India. After countless photographs, walk back to Ghorepani for breakfast.
The eastward trail to Tadapani crosses numerous ridges through thick pine and rhododendron forest with occasional flat sections and wonderful views of the snow peaks to the north from high ground.
Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk (1,990m/6,529ft), 3-4 hrs
Today, we have short and pleasant walking day through the forested and downhill path most of the way with an occasional view of the Mountain leads us through the gradual path most of the way to Ghandrung village for the overnight stop. This is heavily settled Gurung village, a modern village of Nepal and explore the surrounding area and simply relax at the hotel.
Day 08: Ghandruk to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft), 5 hrs walk & 1-hour drive
This is our last day walk through the scenic landscapes and local villages to get down to the Syalui bazaar settled in the river bank of Modi. The walk is pleasant most of the way following the Modi River until Birethanthi and an easy trek to Nayapul. Our adventure ends here and we drive back to Pokhara for the overnight.
Day 09: Pokhara-Kathmandu by Tourist Bus (6-7 hrs drive), 200km
After breakfast, transfer to Tourist bus station and 07:30 am drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. Arrive Kathmandu 02:30 to 03:00 pm.
Day 10: Final Departure
Transfer to the international airport and fly to the onward destination.
